Speed May Have Contributed To Overnight Accident

TULSA, OK -- A motorcyclist is hospitalized after losing control on U.S. Highway 169 and hit the wall overnight.

The accident happened a little after midnight in the southbound lanes near 21st Street.  The 45-year-old man fell off his motorcycle and the bike continued down the road another several hundred feet.

Tulsa Police say the man was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a Tulsa hospital with a head injury. 

Witnesses told Tulsa Police, they estimated the man was going 90 miles an hour on his motorcycle shortly before the accident.
