TULSA, OK -- Wednesday kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The day was marked by a group of husbands, fathers, brothers and sons from TheMenInPink.org. They met at Veterans Park to put some pink in the sky to raise awareness.
The website was founded by a man who was looking for answers while his wife fought the disease. The News On 6's LeAnne Taylor welcomed everyone, and then after a brief ceremony, balloons in four different shades of pink were released.
"For every individual that does, there's a spouse, a significant other, a family, a daughter, a son, aunts and uncles. There's other people that go through that journey with them," said TheMenInPink.org founder Bruce Dill.
