Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds boneless top round steak
2 T all-purpose flour
2 t Italian seasoning, dried
1 medium onion, sliced
3 t minced garlic
1 medium green bell pepper, cut into pieces
1 1/2 cup fat-free, low-sodium spaghetti sauce
8 ounces dried, no-yolk egg noodles
2 T chopped fresh basil (optional)

Directions:
Mix the flour and Italian seasoning together.
Cut the meat into 6 pieces and coat with the flour mixture.
*Put the onion in the slow cooker. Place the meat on the onion. Sprinkle with the garlic, then with the bell pepper. Pour spaghetti sauce over all. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Prepare the noodles 15 minutes before serving time following package instructions.
Serve the Swiss steak over the cooked noodles.
Makes 6 servings.

*For easier clean-up, place ½ inch of water in the crockpot and place all ingredients in an oven bag or slow-cooker liner.
