TULSA, OK -- More patients come forward claiming a Tulsa doctor blindsided them when he shut down without warning. Now, some other doctors are coming to the rescue.
A number of Dr. Ronald Holley's patients are speaking out. The News On 6 has received a number of emails of patients who feel cheated.
Judi Hart feels the day Dr. Holley did her Lasik was the day she became free. This is the day Judi Hart became free.
"I've always wanted to get rid of the glasses," said Judi Hart.
Judi says she was so impressed she recommended Dr. Ronald Holley to a friend. And now, both patients are out of hundreds of dollars.
"We got no courtesy call. No nothing," said Robbie Van Hooser.
Dr. Holley closed his practice with no warning and now there's little chance Judi or Robbie will ever see the money they spent on warranties.
"It's $500 I could have used for something else," said Robbie Van Hooser.
Then, there's the follow up treatment that was promised to them.
"His eye exams are $100 apiece and that's another thing. We signed that. The agreement was that we go to him for our eye exams. That was the agreement," said Robbie Van Hooser.
Doctors say follow up care is so important. That's why some of Dr. Holley's colleagues are willing to make sure his patients continue to see straight.
Dr. Joel Sturm of TLC Laser Eye Center says she's willing to pick up the patients Dr. Holley abandoned.
"If anybody has problems with this procedure, it's not good for any of us. And, if anyone has a negative experience, I think that can cause concern in the entire community," said Dr. Joel Sturm.
So, TLC is offering post operative care at no charge.
"That would be great. If they would do that, that would be wonderful," said Robbie Van Hooser.
Triad Eye Laser Center says it's willing to work with patients, too.
