PAWHUSKA, OK -- An Osage County resident has been selected as Oklahoma's "Recovery Delegate" and will join with delegates from all fifty states to form a human chain across New York City's historic Brooklyn Bridge.

John Ramey will be at the event this Saturday and was organized in partnership with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc.

Officials say Ramey along with the other delegates submitted applications and were selected to represent their state because of their commitment to helping others overcome addiction.

Ramey, who has 12 years in recovery for drug and alcohol addiction, works as a drug court counselor at a drug and alcohol outpatient treatment center.
