TULSA, OK -- Some World War II vets vowed not let time separate them, so they reunite every year.

Norvel Turner, Jr. is a retired member of the U.S. Navy. He served in World War II on a ship known as the U.S.S. John Land, and the military men aboard that ship meet up in different parts of the country. This year it was Tulsa's turn.

"It's like going to see your dad on Christmas Day, your brothers. It's a family reunion," said Turner.

Only four of the original crew members made the trip. Two widows of past crew members were also on hand, all there to celebrate a brotherhood created so many years ago.
