Race For The Cure A Week Away

On Saturday, teams and individuals stopped by Promenade Mall to pick up their packets, T-shirts and race bibs.

TULSA, OK -- Thousands will soon race for a cure. The Susan G. Komen race is just a week away. On Saturday, teams and individuals stopped by Promenade Mall to pick up their packets, T-shirts and race bibs.

Our own Leanne Taylor was on hand to help pass out materials. More than 7,000 volunteers are expected to participate in the race, and it takes a lot of man-power to organize such a large event.

"We are 100% volunteers out here to get ready for the race, and easily 40 or 50 volunteers to just get today ready to go," said Race for the Cure Co-Chair Krista Zachariae.

There is still time to register for the race.
