TULSA, OK - Two people are in custody, and Tulsa Police are looking for a third in connection with a drive-by shooting from last weekend. The violence left 16-year old Donivan Crutcher dead and three others injured.
Tulsa Police are looking for 19-year old Vincent Berry. Investigators believe he's the final piece of the puzzle that has already landed two teenagers in jail and a left a family in mourning.
"It gives us a little peace knowing that we have them off the street," said Donivan's father, Joey Crutcher.
Joey Crutcher is looking for all the comfort he can to get through the day. The proud father is devastated by the loss of his 16-year old son, Donivan, and praying for the recovery of another son, Adrion.
The two boys were coming home from church on Sunday with three friends when their car was riddled with bullets. Donivan died a day later. Adrion is out of intensive care but still suffering from major injuries.
"We don't understand it. We don't understand it at all. But, we are pulling on the prayers of family and friends right now and that is helping us get through it," said Donivan's father, Joey Crutcher.
Tulsa Police arrested Rashad Easley and Antonio Wells on Thursday. Documents show Easley admitted to police he was involved in the shooting and eventually led investigators to Wells.
Now police are looking for 19-year-old Vincent Berry. His street name is Venom. Investigators say Berry is the one responsible for causing so much pain.
"Well, without getting into all the details of the case, we believe Venom is the individual that actually shot the boys," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Mike Huff.
Now all the Crutchers have left are memories of a young man who loved basketball and golf and aspired to be a radio talk show host.
His father says the loss is impossible to believe, but says family and friends are helping him through the most difficult time of his life.
"I really don't have words to express the hurt and pain, but I have a little sense of hope still," said Donivan's father, Joey Crutcher.
A memorial fund has been established for the Crutcher family. Donations can be made to the Crutcher Family Contribution Fund at any Bank of Oklahoma branch or P.O. Box 6481 Tulsa, OK 74148.
It is believed a dispute over a girl may have led to the shooting.
