A former bursar worker at Oklahoma State University's Institute of Technology in Okmulgee has been charged with embezzlement.

Officials say Terri Brown allegedly embezzled over $85,000 from November 2004 until last November.

OSU officials say Brown was fired in February after an audit and investigation revealed the missing funds.

A college spokesman says suspicions arose in January when the vice president of fiscal services audited cash boxes in the business office and found money missing.

Neither Brown nor her attorney, Kenneth Adair, could be reached for comment.
