Inconvenience and discomfort can actually lead to creativity, sometimes in the form of slogans, bumper stickers, and t-shirts.
Recently, a construction project along Third Street in downtown Tulsa provided two young men the opening for a good-natured jab at their favorite city.
Alex Welch and Will Luper's co-workers, in a fit of frustration with seeming endless street projects, created a new logo for the city.
"It said, 'Tulsa - Finish Something, Anything' and the "A" was a cone," explained Alex Welch. "We all thought it was pretty funny... I actually decided to take it and make some t-shirts out of it."
Will Luper, a designer, tuned up the logo then they got together with the guys at Ambition Printing in Broken Arrow to silk screen the shirts.
"I think Tulsa's going through some growing pains right now," said Will Luper. "Everybody's happy with the progress but still it's frustrating when roads are under construction."
The ‘Finish Tulsa' t-shirts will be available on at least one website and at various locations around town.
