TULSA, OK-- Negotiations are going on in Washington to save the Highway Trust Fund. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is worried about losing millions of dollars for state projects if the fund is not restored.
Legislation is currently in the US Senate, but many worry it won't get passed because of earmarks attached to the bill.
Senator Tom Coburn's office tells The News On 6 he supports the bill if it only pays for work on roads or bridges and not other projects like bike paths.
