OWASSO, OK -- The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said goodbye to it's top dog on Sunday, and her partner. Shirley the bomb dog and her partner Deputy Tracey Breeden were recognized at a farewell party in Owasso.

The two are retiring from the force to seek new adventures in New Mexico. Deputy Breeden says she'll miss Tulsa, but thinks many will miss Shirley more.

"There's a lot of people that know her and have become attached to her in the sheriff's department, there are people in the department that love her as much as I do. So I know she's really important to them. She's not just a working dog, she's not just a tool, we don't see her as that," said Deputy Breeden.

Shirley helped sniff out danger in Tulsa for the last three years, but this year alone she and her partner were needed at the Super Bowl, College World Series and the Democratic National Convention.
