Millions of dollars are on their way to the Tar Creek Superfund site in the Picher-Cardin area. The cash will help residents living in America's largest Superfund site move out.
Republican Senator Jim Inhofe and Democratic Congressman Dan Boren are taking bipartisan credit for the buyout. Under the plan, $9.5 million will pay to relocate the remaining families who live near Tar Creek. The area is polluted after decades of zinc and lead mining.
