The City of Bixby dedicated its new FEMA Downtown Drainage Project on Thursday. The project is part of a $22 million master plan to improve the city's drainage, which has been a major issue over the years.

One of the key figures in getting federal funds was Senator Jim Inhofe, who was at the ceremony at Charlie Young Park.

Construction began in August of 2005.
