Changes will be coming to the way Tulsa County handles its business. The chairman of the Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday released the results of a performance audit conducted over the last year.
A committee made up of 11 citizens compiled a list of ideas to help Tulsa County run on less money and more efficiently.
A key part of the audit was a survey given to all 457 employees of the county.
"In my experience in doing these types of things, we smashed all records by getting an almost 80% response rate. The employees deserve a gold medal," said Tulsa County Commission Deputy Terry Simonson.
The audit came up with 52 recommendations. County leaders will now figure out which ones should be adopted, and how.
