The Tulsa Police Department is unraveling a mystery on Saturday night. It started with a call about a bloody man running down Newton Street. When they arrived, the man said he had been carjacked, robbed and beaten.
Police say they found the truck he described a few blocks away at the Walgreens on Pine and Lewis. That's where things get interesting.
"Based on some information he had given, we stopped three Hispanic males who were leaving the scene. Those Hispanic males said they had additionally been kidnapped and robbed and held in a house. Once we spoke with them, they identified some other individuals that may have been involved. We found those gentlemen at the Walgreens," said Capt. Ryan Perkins with the Tulsa Police Department.
Police say after further interviews, they believe everyone had intentionally went to the house on Newton, but won't say why.
Once they were there, police think they were taken hostage, beaten, robbed and tied-up.
Police believe the first man they came across running down Newton street had actually escaped from the home.
Officers are gathering information about the suspects.
