Teen Killed While Fleeing From Stillwater Police

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- A Glencoe teenager fleeing from Stillwater police on a motorcycle died after running off the road and slamming into several trees.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Jesse Kyle Smith was taken Friday night to a hospital, where he died.

The patrol says Smith was speeding about 10:30 Friday night when he ran off the road near the intersection of Airport Road and Fairgrounds Road. Smith was thrown from bike after it crashed into some trees.

The patrol says the teen was wearing a helmet.
