A murder investigation is underway in Okesa, in eastern Osage County. The Osage County Sheriff's Office was called to the rural home around 5:30 Sunday evening.
The sheriff's office tells the News On 6, three adults and a two-year-old were in the home when three men kicked in the front door Sunday evening.
Deputies say the three suspects began beating a man who was sleeping on a sofa in the home before one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The armed suspect then reportedly tried to shoot a female who was also inside the home, but the gun failed to fire.
Osage County Sheriff Ty Koch says the victim, 25-year-old Earl Haller, died Monday morning at a Bartlesville hospital.
The suspects have been identified as 21-year-old Stoney Andrew Bowlin of Bartlesville, 17-year-old Dustin Levi Beshears, and 19-year-old Benjamin Lee Easley of Pawhuska. Easley was arrested in Pawhuska and is being held in the Osage County Jail.
Anyone with information about the suspects should notify the Osage County Sheriff's Office at 1-888-287-3150.
