The Tulsa Drillers played at home on Sunday as Tulsa makes plans to move the team downtown. Many fans braved the heat to take in the game. Some used umbrellas and found shelter under the upper deck. Some say they'll be sorry to see this park go, if the Drillers move downtown.
Others see it as a boost for downtown.
"I think it would be good, good attraction. Draw a lot more people. I think it would be good for Tulsa," said Charm Hoehn.
Other fans disagree.
"No, they got a beautiful ball park right here. It's an old style ball park which is great. No sense in moving it down there," said Richard Tesson.
A site in the Greenwood District was selected for the new ballpark and the city council approved a property tax to build it, but the Drillers and the City of Tulsa are still negotiating on the business deal.
