Inmate Escapes In Sheriff's Vehicle

An inmate escaped from the Grant County Jail Thursday morning and then took off in a sheriff department's vehicle.

MEDFORD, Okla. -- An inmate escaped from the Grant County Jail Thursday morning and then took off in a sheriff department's vehicle, authorities said.

Joshua Albright, 23, was awaiting transfer to prison. The ex-Marine was given two 20-year sentences this week for brutally robbing and terrorizing a 72-year-old legally blind woman from Lamont.

Albright is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds and having green eyes and blond hair.

Authorities said he stole a black 2008 Ford crew-cab pickup truck with "Grant County Sheriff" lettering on the side. The Grant County sheriff says there were no weapons inside the vehicle.

Authorities said Albright is considered armed and dangerous.
