Officers with the Broken Arrow Police Department say on Saturday night at about 10:15, neighbors of 10516 South 200th East Avenue in Broken Arrow, dialed 911 to report an explosion in that home.

Police and fire departments responded and determined the explosion was a result of a methamphetamine lab.

Police say the explosion was powerful enough to blow the windows out of the home and scorch the inside of the kitchen where they had been cooking methamphetamine.

One suspect fled the scene before police got to the home, but two were arrested on site. One woman suffered burns to her right arm and was treated at the scene by paramedics. One man arrested had all of his body hair that was exposed during the flash fire/explosion burned from his legs.

Police say 31-year-old Mandy D'Layne Elrod of Broken Arrow was arrested and charged with First Degree Arson, Possession of Precursors and traffic warrants.

Valace Franklin Sanders, 26, of Broken Arrow was also arrested and charged with First Degree Arson. He also has Tulsa County traffic warrants. Sanders has a prior deferred conviction for Possession of Controlled Drug.
