Tulsa Police believe the same robber has hit 10 stores in Tulsa, including a Walgreen's on Thursday. They say his M.O. makes him especially dangerous. The News On 6's crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports the suspect isn't shy about striking when a store is full of people and he often takes control of the whole place, herding people into one spot before getting the money.
Despite all these surveillance videos, the bandit is hard to catch.
James came face to face with the robber last October. He was working at a Fiesta Mart when the man pointed a gun at him and said, ‘give me the money.'
"He was covered up, in all black. Couldn't see his face, had sunglasses on. You can't tell what he looks like at all," said James.
That's what makes the suspect so hard to catch. And, he means business, pulling out his gun as soon as he walks in the door.
Video from a Food Pyramid robbery in March shows customers strolling around the store as he asks a girl to point out a manager, and then forces the manager to walk with him to the registers.
Still with gun in hand, he takes the money he wants before finally leaving.
Two months later at Dreamland, he first points a gun to get everyone's attention. The video then shows him forcing a customer to the ground. He then walks into the manager's office and makes her get off the phone while he empties the cash drawer.
The very next month, he targets a Walgreen's store. Video shows him herding the pharmacist and a woman, with hands in the air, to the office for money.
"I've heard these people like to brag about their crimes. Maybe he'll brag to the wrong person," said James who was robbed at a Fiesta Mart.
Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. The bandit is believed to be in his 20s.
Tulsa Police are worried the first time someone doesn't comply, this robber will turn violent.
