Governor Views Drought Damage

Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry visited with ranchers and farmers in Cimarron County to survey the drought-stricken area.

"My heart and prayers go out to people of Oklahoma and the Panhandle," said Governor Henry.

The governor has already requested federal disaster aid for nine counties in the Panhandle and northwestern Oklahoma.

One local rancher says with the mix of high temperature, high wind and lack of rain, she's struggling to grow anything.

Some local ranchers had to sell their cattle to make ends meet.
