Fairgrounds Paving Job Slowed Down

The race continues to finish the construction projects at the fairgrounds in time for this year's Tulsa State Fair.

First it was weather slowing things down, now it's equipment trouble that's affecting the work.  Tulsa County workers were hoping to begin laying asphalt this week on the regraded midway, but the paving machine broke down on a road project in Owasso last week.

Crews are installing asphalt by hand while they wait for replacement parts.  It's work they'd have to do anyway, but it's normally done after the machine has done most of the work.
