Man's Body Identified

The state Medical Examiner's Office has identified a dead body pulled out of the Arkansas River in Muskogee County earlier this month. 

Officials say the body is 26-year-old Matt Neesmith of Tulsa. 

A fisherman found the body in a large amount of river debris near Brewer's Bend on July 7. 

The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office says Neesmith's death is being investigated as a homicide. 

Officials say there were no signs of trauma to the body and that the time of death was at least 1 to 2 weeks before the body was found.
