Four more talented Green Country singers will go head to head Monday night on week two of Gimme the Mike!
Allison Gilliland, of Tulsa, tells NewsOn6.com her favorite song is Alannah Myles' "Black Velvet" and that her inspiration comes from her husband. While she enjoys singing, Gilliland also likes playing cards and drinking coffee.
Britni Hansen hopes the judges will give her the "mike." The Chouteau resident gets her inspiration from her grandfather. Hansen's favorite song is "Good Riddance" by Green Day. Aside from music, Hansen also enjoys hunting and fishing.
Roderick Knowles will compete against Hanson and Gilliland. The Broken Arrow resident gets his inspiration from his family and Chicago's "Inspiration" is his favorite song. Knowles' motto in life is ‘For Christ I live, for Christ I die.'
Sarah Hutchison, of Tulsa, is the fourth contestant in this week's competition. She's inspired by her father and loved to watch Reba McEntire's sitcom. Hutchison has a hidden talent - she taught herself how to play the piano and compose music.
The "Gimme The Mike!" judges will choose a winner to move on to the final competition. Viewers can call after the episode and vote for their favorite among the final three contestants. That ‘wildcard' could win a spot in the grand finale.
"Gimme The Mike!" episodes air Mondays at 7:00pm on KOTV, The News On 6 through August 11th. The live grand finale airs Monday, August 18th.
