The Tulsa Fire Department trained with the Jaws of Life on Friday. Firefighters strapped on their gear to practice pulling dummies out of crushed cars. Managing the enormous size of the equipment and the pressure it exerts, can pose a dangerous situation for fire crews.
"Crash sites, automobile is very dynamic you never know what you're going to see. You can have cars in any configuration. The more tools, so-to-speak the quicker they can make that extraction and get people to bright lights," said Tulsa Fire Captain John Marlar.
The training takes place over three days to get lots of crews involved.
