Meth Labs Found In Apartment

A tip alerted the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office to two meth labs inside an apartment on Indianapolis.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office rounded up six people at a Midtown apartment complex on Tuesday.

Undercover deputies were following up on tips that apartments, in the 3700 block of South Indianapolis, had been turned into meth labs.

"When they did, they smelled an odor that was consistent with the cooking of methamphetamine. And, the residents of the, the residents slammed the door in their face to try to keep them out," said Tulsa County Sheriff's Sgt. Willie Lewis.

The deputies called in reinforcements and took the suspects into custody.  The rest of the complex was evacuated and firefighters had to decontaminate the suspects. 

No one was allowed back home until the building aired out.
