911 Call Released From Carjacking, Sexual Assault

A mother's harrowing call for help is revealed in a 911 tape.  Tulsa Police say a carjacker stole a van with three young children inside, early on June 26th.  The man accused of the crime is behind bars.  The News On 6's Ashli Sims reports on the tape, you can hear the mother; frantically calling 911 just after her children were taken.

Caller: "Yes, I'm at Midnight Sun Tanning Salon. And I have a customer here who was just attacked."

Victim's Mother: "He's in my van."

Caller: "He's in her van..."<interrupted by screaming>

They are sounds of sheer terror from a mother who just had her three young children snatched before her eyes.  The woman was so distraught; the 911 operator couldn't understand what had happened.

Caller: "Ok...OK, you've gotta be quiet, so they can hear me, OK?"

911: "I can't hear a single word over that screaming."

A few minutes pass and the mother calms down enough to tell her story.  It was just after midnight on June 26th.  She says she was inside her locked van in the parking lot of a south Tulsa tanning salon, when a man tapped on her window.

Victim's Mother: "And the window was barely, barely cracked. And he said, 'how you doing?' I said, just go! Just go away. And he said, 'don't make me bust this window.' And he grabs it and pulls the window back. And, I just, just out of reaction I jumped out."

Police say 25-year-old Brandon Brixey took off with the children.  Investigators say he was alone with them for two hours, before the silver van was spotted and he led officers on a high speed chase.

Victim's Mother <whispers>: "My babies...my babies"

911: "OK, (name omitted) take a deep breath."

 Victim's Mother: "Oh my God.  Oh my God"

 911: "Did anyone else see where the van went?"

Victim's Mother: "Oh my god I shouldn't have got out.  Shouldn't have got out."

Not knowing where her children were heading or what was happening to them, the terrified mother is plagued with second-guesses and paralyzed by panic.

Victim's Mother: "Why did I get out? I shoulda just drove off."

911: "How old are the kids?"

Victim's Mother: "I have a one year old baby, a three year old little boy, and an eight year old little girl. And, they're going to be screaming if he tries to hurt him. He's mean.  He's mean."

The most haunting part of the seven-minute call is the woman repeatedly saying this is something straight out of one of her nightmares.

Victim's Mother: "I had a dream that this happened and he killed my son. I just. I had a dream about this. Oh my God. I had a dream about this. Oh my God"

Police say Brandon Brixey sexually assaulted the eight year old little girl, before they were able to recover the children.

Brixey faces a string of charges for kidnapping, rape, robbery, and eluding police.  He'll be back in court later this month.
