A new world of communications and entertainment is now available to many residents in Green Country. On Monday, AT&T announced the launch of AT&T U-verse service.

The AT&T U-Verse uses AT&T's new fiber-rich network to offer digital television and high speed internet that's 100% internet protocol based.

Mayor Kathy Taylor was on hand to find out how this service works and to encourage advancing technology in Green Country.

Put simply, AT&T U-verse will combine your television, broadband, home phone and wireless service all on one bill. The U-verse service provides more than 320 channels, plus more than 40 high definition channels.

Since the video is sent only as needed, the number of channels available is essentially infinite.

The U-verse also includes remote DVR programming. Now you can record your favorite shows from your cell phone or computer.

"It's kinda like what the iPhone did for mobile phones, this service does for television," said Ryan Stafford, AT&T Oklahoma and Arkansas Manager.

Pricing for this service starts at $44 and goes up to $154 for everything.

Customers can order AT&T U-verse services in parts of Tulsa, Jenks and Owasso.

Eventually all Green Country residents will be able to sign up for this service.
