The NBA is coming to Oklahoma City this fall and the excitement is definitely hitting an all-time high around Oklahoma. The thought of professionals coming to town has inspired some mini-Sonics to think big.
They're quick. They've got shots and they sure have a sense of humor. Meet the Sonics. They're better known as Oklahoma's own Kids to Achieve or K2A Sonics.
When 9-year-old Cameron Graves found out an NBA team is coming to town he started screaming.
"It's fun when teams come to Oklahoma. You can go to the Ford Center and watch them play. I've been wanting to watch them play forever," said Cameron Graves, K2A Sonics Player.
Cameron's teammates are ready to get front row seats to the games and eat corn dogs. But, corn dogs aside, they can't wait to welcome their new team.
The News On 6 had been told the phone at the Ford Center has been ringing off the hook for season tickets.
