Green Country recently pulled together to help repair a soldier's car. Specialist Joe Bray of Mannford was away in Kuwait when his Mustang was pelted during a hailstorm last month.
When Bray's mother filed an insurance claim with GEICO, the company told them their coverage was dropped while Bray was overseas, but the folks at A-1 Auto Body in Broken Arrow saw the story and, in only a few days, managed to drum up nearly a dozen donors to get the car repaired.
"The paint looks amazing, uh, the inside, I'm just shocked they got all the glass out because we kept finding piles of it everywhere," said Spc. Bray.
Bray's family says they did miss an insurance payment, but were confused about whether there was a grace period while their son served overseas.
