The days of dumping debris for free in Broken Arrow are over. The city's last free debris site, which opened after the December ice storm, closed on Monday.
Crews already completed their curbside sweep. So, if you still have a pile of storm stuff on your hands, it's going to cost you to get rid of it.
The city is now working in parks and creek beds, but that doesn't mean residents can just leave their limbs.
"Please, no debris along the street sides or in front of your house. Also, important to point out that dumping of this debris in parks or street-side is illegal," said Keith Sterling, City of Broken Arrow.
Broken Arrow residents who still have debris at home can call the city to arrange a pickup at
259-7000. But, there is a fee depending on the amount to be hauled away.
