Tulsa Public Schools' Superintendent is speaking out about recent criticism about the Tulsa Academic Center.
The Tulsa World and the NAACP have called for Dr. Michael Zolkoski's resignation. In a live interview on Six In The Morning, Dr. Zolkoski indicated he had no intention to leave before the end of his four year contract.
"Yes, I really love the children of Tulsa. This is my 38th year in the business and yes, mistakes were made. One out of 90 schools, we do need to make corrections and we will be making those corrections with real close scrutiny," said Dr. Michael Zolkoski.
The superintendent said plans are already in the works to overhaul the embattled Tulsa Academic Center.
