New Drug Sniffing Dog Headed To Tulsa

A new, four-legged crime fighter will soon be on the way to Tulsa. When they heard the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office lost its only drug sniffing dog due to an illness, members of the local Masonic Lodge launched a statewide fundraising effort.

The group raised $7,000 toward the purchase of a new dog. A Sand Springs K-9 unit was on hand to help celebrate Wednesday's donation.

The sheriff's office is still contacting breeders to find the department's newest member.
