A swimmer gets hung up in the Arkansas River near 31st and Riverside Drive in Tulsa.
It all happened just beneath the pedestrian bridge. A woman was swimming, but got caught up in a current and marooned herself on a pile of tree debris. The fire department called out their rescue boats, since she was dangerously close to the low-water dam.
Luckily, firefighters lowered her a ladder, and she climbed to safety.
"The best part about this is that no one was injured. She had been down there about two hours, so we're fortunate there was a park police officer on patrol here and was able to spot her," said Tulsa Fire Captain Michael Baker.
Paramedics on scene made sure the woman was alright, but she appeared uninjured.
