A 20-year-old woman and two children died Wednesday in a house fire in Olustee in southwest Oklahoma.
Firefighters were called to the house at about 11 a.m. and were told three people were trapped inside.
Olustee Police Chief Victor Martinez says after Olustee, Altus and Martha fire departments extinguished the fire, they found the bodies of the woman and a 5-year-old and 3-year-old boy.
Investigators are looking into why the three were unable to escape the flames.
According to Altus Fire Department Captain Jim Beavers, the positioning of the bodies at the scene indicated they could have gotten out a window in the bathroom. All three were found in that bathroom.
Authorities said a faulty air condition unit started the fire.
