Improvements Planned For Sky Ride

The Tulsa County Fair Board decided on Tuesday to upgrade one of the icons at the fairgrounds.

The board voted to spend up to $175,000 to improve the control system for the sky ride.  Bell's Amusement Park installed the ride in the mid 1960's, and the fair board bought it after allowing Bell's lease to expire.

The Sky Ride is one of the fair's most popular rides.  The staff says the upgrade will help get more use out of it.
