A homeowner is cleaning up his garage after an SUV drove into it on Sunday. The ironic part is this isn't the first time it's happened to him.
The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say the SUV was westbound of I-44 near the 2500 block when the driver says she lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch. She then went through two fences and finally came to a stop when she crashed into a detached garage in the 2500 block of West 51st Street South.
The homeowner's son heard the crash, woke his parents up and called 911.
The 27-year-old driver was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol. Her boyfriend was the only passenger. EMSA transported him to the hospital.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol estimates the driver was going at least 60 mph.
Unfortunately, this is nothing new for the homeowner. A car slammed into his garage another time, several years ago.
Sunday's crash damaged some racing go-karts as well as a car the homeowner was fixing up with his son.
