Man Dead After Motorcycle Accident

A man is dead after police say he crashed his motorcycle into a light pole. The accident happened on Saturday night shortly after 10:00.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say the man was traveling northbound on Highway 169 when he left the roadway at the 21st Street exit. After leaving the roadway, police say the man hit a light pole and was thrown off of his motorcycle.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the motorcycle on the shoulder of the road, the light pole was down, and the man was dead.

No one witnessed the accident.

Highway 169 northbound from 31st Street to 21st Street was shut down for more than an hour.
