Shooting Academy Celebrates Grand Opening

The U.S. Shooting Academy celebrated a grand opening on Saturday. The academy is right next to the Tulsa Police Academy. It's 93 acres of shooting ranges and it also offers self defense courses.

"If you've never had the chance to shoot a machine gun, if you're not a member of the military you can come out and use one of our machine guns, go full auto with a legal machine gun which is something people don't get to do very often and its probably one of the funnest things you can do with a gun," said Mike Seeklander of the U.S. Shooting Academy.

The U.S. Shooting Academy hopes to host a world shooting championship at the facility in the next year.

The academy is located at 6500 E. 66th Street North.
