A Tulsa Marine who served in Iraq is honoring a local woman he says is a hero to troops stationed overseas.

For the past two years, Judy Hicks and her co-workers at PSO have been collecting and shipping boxes to troops filled with sports equipment, playing cards and DVDs.  Hicks and her friends also sent snacks.

Gunnery Sergeant David Ault says it means a lot to get a little piece of home when you're so far away.  That's why he presented Hicks with a flag that flew over Iraq.  He says it's just a small token of his appreciation.

"It's a great thing to get mail from anybody, but when it's from someone you don't know first-hand, it's even more touching," said Marine Gunnery Sgt. David Ault.

Hicks and her co-workers are still sending care packages to troops.  Each month they ship off about 20 boxes full of goodies.
