GTM Contestants To Take Center Stage

For all music fans, The News On 6's Gimme the Mike! premieres in less than a month.
The countdown is on and preparations are in the works. As NewsOn6.com's Nicole Wiseman reports, the contestants will be performing on the same stage as many noteworthy acts.

The Gimme the Mike! contestants will give it all they've got on stage at Cain's Ballroom. Their names will be added to the long list of impressive performers who have played there.

The sounds of Bob Wills, The Sex Pistols and Metallica, among thousands more, have echoed throughout the Ballroom. Pictures of these musicians line the walls, along with their autographs, forever leaving their musical mark at Cain's.

Now, 20 Gimme the Mike! contestants will experience that same rush of adrenaline that comes with performing in such a well-known, historic venue.

"I hear one of the coolest things from the people that play here is from up on that stage, looking out to a sold out show or whatever and seeing those old portraits of all these musicians that line the walls in Cain's and how cool that feels," said Chad Rodgers with Cain's Ballroom.
