Skiatook police need help catching some very bold crooks. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports they hit the Wal-Mart in Skiatook several times, stealing electronics in full view of anyone who cares to look.
The surveillance video shows the suspects entering the store, where they walk straight to the electronics department and take what they want off the shelves, usually TV's and DVD players. Then, they walk right back out of the store, without breaking stride or a sweat.
"It's very bold for these individuals to do this. They're not running, they appear to be regular shoppers like you and me but, they walk past the registers without paying for the items they're getting," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.
They load up the loot into a light grey or silver Ford Ranger pickup parked right outside the doors of the store.
They hit the Skiatook Wal-Mart several times during April and police want them stopped.
"We really hope someone knows who they are, because if they're doing this at Wal-Mart, they're probably hitting other stores," said Officer Ashley.
Anyone with information can call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You can stay completely anonymous, but if your tip leads to an arrest, the Citizens Crime Commission will pay you a cash reward.
