Environmental watchdogs say air pollution isn't just a problem for Oklahoma's cities anymore.
The Environmental Protection Agency tightened its standards for ozone earlier this year. That would put nine Oklahoma counties on the Dirty Air List.
Oklahoma and Tulsa counties are still trouble spots, but so are the areas around Lawton, Pryor and Tahlequah. Creek, Kay, Ottawa, and Canadian counties would also miss the cut.
So far, the EPA hasn't figured out a way to reduce air pollution in rural Oklahoma.
