Many Take Part In Mayfest

The weekend's pleasant weather may have played a factor in attendance at Mayfest in downtown Tulsa this year.

Organizers say the event was a smashing success.  Tulsa Police estimate between 375,000 and 400,000 people attended over four days.

The crowds enjoyed food, art and live music. The final tally may be up to 25,000 above last year's turnout.

Organizers say they likely got a boost from the popular Blue Dome Art Festival that was going on at the same time, just a few blocks away.
