Tense moments late Thursday as residents are trapped in a burning midtown Tulsa apartment building.
The fire happened at an apartment complex near 12th and Quaker.
Erica and Ebony Nelson were home with their 3 small children when the fire broke out. Ebony says he was sleeping, when his wife told him the apartment was on fire.
Erica Nelson grabbed two children and headed one direction while Ebony went the opposite way to find their one year old baby.
"I tried to grab my two little ones and I yelled at him to grab the baby. The next thing I know I turn around the whole apartment was engulfed and no sign of either one of them and I thought they were gone," said Erica Nelson.
The entire family made it out safely.
A neighbor was taken to a Tulsa hospital for smoke inhalation, but Tulsa Fire officials say he is expected to be all right.
Firefighters say four units sustained fire and smoke damage.
There is no word on what started the fire.
