The Oklahoma state lawmaker who drew harsh criticism for saying homosexuality is a bigger threat to the U.S. than terrorism, now says efforts by those groups to promote workplace fairness proves they have an agenda.
State Representative Sally Kern said Thursday's "Clock In for Equality" day is an attempt to organize people to promote special rights for gays and lesbians.
The day is sponsored by a New York City-based group that promotes civil rights of gays, lesbians and those with the virus that causes AIDS.
Kern wants Oklahomans who support traditional families to become more active or face giving a victory to groups that want special rights based on what Kern calls "changeable homosexual behavior."

Kern made headlines nationwide in March when audio of her comments about gays and lesbians was posted on the video sharing Web site YouTube by the Washington, D.C.-based Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.
The organization, Lambda Legal is sponsoring "Clock in for Equality" day in what it calls an effort to educate and mobilize people to promote workplace fairness for gays and lesbians.
