Man Shot Overnight Near Apartment Complex

A gun shot rang out overnight on Sunday across the street from Fairmont Terrace Apartments. The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 60th Street South. Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say a young male who lives in the apartment complex was shot in the chest.

Police say the victim was able to run inside the apartment and get help. The victim was with one other person at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.

There were no other witnesses, but those living in the complex say they heard the gun shot.

EMSA took the victim to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time, but police say it is a serious wound.
