Okmulgee Police and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents have arrested a suspect in last week's murder of an Okmulgee resident.
Forty-three-year-old Tammy Harjo was found inside her home beaten to death Friday, May 2.
Several people told Okmulgee Police they saw an individual walk up to the victim's house the night before.
Those witnesses helped an OSBI forensic artist sketch a likeness of that person. That sketch coupled with information provided by the community enabled law enforcement to pin point Jason Harjo as a possible suspect.
Police questioned Harjo Friday morning.
Based on that interview, the 18-year-old was arrested on a first degree murder complaint.
Okmulgee Police say while the suspect and victim did know each other, they were not related.
